YOUTH PARLIAMENT

(Organised by Commerce Club)

About Us

The youth of the nation are the future decision makers of a nation. As such they must know and understand what it is like to be in a position of decision making, to have to make difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions. The Youth Parliament aims to give students a little taste of what it is like to pass legislation. The event will mimic a day’s proceedings in the Indian Parliament of how legislation is passed or declined. Students will discuss and debate on the bill at hand and then the House will come to a resolution and the speaker will pass the resolution. A mega event with students using their quick wit and intelligence to sway the House in their favour, with the Government team fighting to get the bill passed, and the Opposition opposing the motion. A one-day event that will put to the test the speaking skills and intelligence of students from various institutes and schools. House is in Session!!
